Latest Medical Update

Today we received some difficult news. Dad hasn’t taken any breaths on his own in several hours. As a result, the doctors are proceeding with a series of two formal tests to determine his level of brain activity. The first will take place at about 4.00 pm Eastern time, and the second at least six hours after that.

These tests create an even greater sense of urgency for us. Please pray with us for God to accomplish a great healing miracle in dad’s body today.

Our hope is not in a test, a diagnosis, or a particular outcome. Our hope is in Jesus, who conquered death once and for all. He is a great God, and it is our privilege to cry out to Him.

Update:

One test has been completed. There will be a second test about midnight, and a third test, probably between 6 and 8 am. Also, Jesus is still in control!

  22. I continually pray for Pastor Bruce and his family, and his church family. If he only knew what a mighty force of prayer he has rallied, from all corners of the world, he would be amazed!! Even though not all of us know each other, wouldn’t it be awesome if from here going forward, we remind the Lord every day in prayer to watch over and protect, strengthen and give wisdom, to everyone who became known as Pastor Bruce Edwards’ Prayer Warriors? The most mighty prayer chain in the world….would Pastor Bruce not say, ‘INDEED!’ So let us all decide to pray for each other daily and hold each others’ families up in prayer, in honor of Pastor Bruce, for the Lord knows who each and every one of us is, even though we all do NOT!!

    1. That is truly a wonderful suggestion and I am in agreement with you as Bruce would be too!
